In Europe, we are a member of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), and endorse the EFPIA Disclosure Code, a set of guiding principles that requires pharmaceutical companies to publicly disclose transfers of value made to European health care professionals and health care organizations.
Biogen strongly believes that collaboration with healthcare professionals is crucial to discover, develop and deliver innovative therapies that improve the lives of patients. At the same time, we believe that these interactions must be conducted openly and transparently.
As a member of EFPIA (the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations), Biogen is proud to endorse and uphold the EFPIA Disclosure Code. In line with the Transparency Code in Latvia and Article 322 of the Regulation No. 378 Biogen is collecting all payments and contributions made to Healthcare Professionals and Organizations.
Since 2021, to avoid duplication, EFPIA has approved deviation which approves to publish values transferred to Healthcare Professionals (HCP) and Healthcare Organizations (HCO) in country specific template. According to this requirement, values transferred to HCPs and HCOs by Biogen are disclosed on Latvian Health Inspectorate website.
